Allen Kao
General Manager and Partner

Allen Kao’s focus areas are semiconductor, electronic components, precision mechanical, material and software. Allen Kao also serves on the board of many portfolio companies for helping entrepreneurs to execute the corporate governance and build up strategic resources.

Prior to join venture capital. Allen was the R&D Director of Seiko Epson, in charging of research and implementation of MEMS and optoelectronic technology. Meanwhile, participating in technology scouting and corporate venture activities. During the time dedicating to R&D, Allen authored 5 technical papers and granted 18 patents.

Currently Allen is the Partner of WK Innovation and focusing on empowering new ventures to grow up to global leaders. So far he has been invited to serve as board member in over 10 tech companies. Besides, being advisor or committee for startup programs of government and National Taiwan University(NTU), and also the patent examination committee for Industrial Technology Research Institute(ITRI).

Allen Kao holds an Executive MBA, a Master's degree in Applied Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University.
